Ιon Tsakonas is the CEO of Piraeus Equity Partners, the investment arm of Piraeus Bank active in Venture Capital and renewable energy. He is the CEO of Piraeus Renewable Investments (350+ ΜW of wind and solar in operation and under development), Piraeus Taneo Capital Fund (50/50 limited partners Hellenic Development Bank of Investments and Piraeus Bank) and PJ Tech Catalyst Partners (70/30 Εuropean Investment Fund,/ Piraeus Bank) until 2020
Among other companies over the past 7 years he has served on the boards of Inaccess, Advent Technologies, Pollfish, Accusonus, Unismack, ΑSA, Novoville, ΟramaVR, Radiojar, Centaur Analytics
His 20+ year professional experience other than PEP, includes Donaldson Lufkin and Jenrette, Deutsche Bank, Reservoir Capital/Octavian advisors and 2 social entrepreneurship startups in education and climate services.
He holds an MBA from what Wharton School of Business and an MEng from the Univeristy of Oxford. He is an avid sportsman.
